This table below gives you some idea of the profusion and world wide distribution of these legends, anyone with an open mind will see truth in these events having actually happened. Incidentally, the Rainbow we often see after a heavy rain storm  is a symbol of God's promise never to flood the World again:

Genesis chapter 9 verse 8 to 11:-  12 And God added: “This is the sign of the covenant that I am making between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations. 13 I put my rainbow in the cloud, and it will serve as a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring a cloud over the earth, then the rainbow will certainly appear in the cloud. 15 And I will certainly remember my covenant that I made between me and you and every living creature of every kind; and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 And the rainbow will occur in the cloud, and I will certainly see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of every kind on the earth.”

The fish in the photo below was found near the summit of Mount Everest, numerous other fossils of marine life have been found on many other mountains around the world, proving that at some point in the past these mountains were under water.   

Psalm chapter 104 verses 5 to 9:-   5 He has established the earth on its foundations; It will not be moved from its place forever and ever. 6 You covered it with deep waters as with a garment. The waters stood above the mountains. 7 At your rebuke they fled; At the sound of your thunder they ran away in panic- 8 Mountains ascended and valleys descended—To the place you established for them. 9 You set a boundary that they should not pass, That they should never again cover the earth.

The Flood Was Real!
